The Electric Revival VII
Diocesan Youth Dance and Lock-in
January 19-20 2019
Trinity Episcopal Church, Covington Kentucky
What’s the Deal?
January is the worst. Christmas is over. A New Year in the Spirit is a memory. Summer camp at the Cathedral Domain is still months away. It’s dark by noon and absolutely frigid. What we need is a little taste of that Domain Love to get us through the long winter. What we need… is a revival.
Fear not, for behold… On January 19-20, Trinity Episcopal Church warmly invites all junior and senior high students (grade 7-12) to downtown Covington for the annual dance party and lock-in we like to call “The Electric Revival.” Shake off those mid-winter blues with twenty-four long hours of music, worship, fellowship, and dancing.
For the seventh installment of The Electric Revival, we are partnering with the Diocesan Commission for Racial Reconciliation and NKU to offer an engaging and empowering program designed to get young people thinking about racial reconciliation. But don’t worry, there will still be plenty of time for yoga, theatre games, our annual open mic coffee hour, and of course, more of that late night POWER MUSIC ELECTRIC REVIVAL!
When Is This Thing Going Down?
The revelries will commence at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 19th and will end at 12:00pm on Sunday. There will be free transportation provided to and from Lexington. The bus will leave Mission House (203 E 4th St.) at 12pm on Saturday and will return by 1:30pm on Sunday.
What Should I Bring?
Comfortable clothes (yoga), sleeping bag and pillow, musical instruments, cards and board games, boogie shoes, “Xbox One” games, some canned goods, and $20 to help cover our costs.
What Else Do I Need To Know?
As always, we are collecting canned goods for the Food Pantry operated by St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Newport. Please bring some non-perishables to donate. And don’t forget to bring something special for the dance. When we crank that POWER MUSIC ELECTRIC REVIVAL, your jorts just won’t cut it.
