Welcome House receives gift

Trinity Garden Mart has provided a $900.00 donation through the Payless Shoe Corporation gift card program. Children of the Welcome house will each enjoy a new pair of back to school shoes. A card will be issued to the parent of each child attending school, preschool through high school at the center. Each card is worth $30.00. Payless Corporation also donated 4 cards to us through their discount program making a total of 34 gift cards. Thanks to many of you at Trinity the success of Garden Mart has enabled us to enable others less fortunate.

A Mountain of Blessings August 29th after the 10:00 a.m. service

Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vine, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.

Habakkuk 3:17-18

How in the world could Habakkuk rejoice and be joyful with all of those negative things going on? Indeed, how can we rejoice and claim any joy in the face of people losing their jobs, losing their homes, the latest natural disaster or super virus? We can't turn on the television, radio or the computer without being assaulted by all the negatives. And it's personal too. Each of us knows at least one person who has lost his/her job and we certainly all have felt the pinch in our own finances. Additionally each of us has faced the loss of a loved one or ill health. When times are hard, it's easy to forget how very blessed we are. And yet, as Habakkuk says, there is still reason to be joyful. But how can we recapture our joy? By rediscovering our blessings. God has blessed each of us in so many ways - with our own families, our Trinity family, with His great love for each of us that manifests itself in so many ways ("the kiss of the sun for pardon and the song of the birds for mirth"), and with the gifts He has given each of us and the blessing of sharing those gifts with others. So don't be left out! Come to the Mountain for fun, food, to count your blessings and be blessed in return.

Come share the blessing of Trinity!

Come be blessed!
